Heartbreaks ahead! Vijay Deverakonda denies making his Bollywood debut with the Hindi remake of his film 'Dear Comrade'

Bollywood's ace filmmaker Karan Johar, on Tuesday, through his Twitter account announced that he will be remaking Telugu actors Vijay Deverakonda's and Rashmika Mandanna's upcoming film Dear Comrade in Hindi. This declaration came three days before the original film would be out in the theatres for audience viewing and left us all excited about how interesting both the film would be. Soon after, we all were left wondering whether Vijay will be roped in to reprise the role and make his much-awaited Bollywood debut. However, this dream of ours won't be fulfilled for the time being. Vijay, who is currently in Mumbai, spoke to an entertainment portal and crashed all speculations of his Bollywood debut with Dear Comrade's Hindi version. He told there is no point in repeating the same role again. He added that it won't be exciting for him to go through the same scene enactment repeatedly as it will be difficult to redo the emotions behind them.

“Dear Comrade will be made in Hindi. I won’t be doing it but yeah, that’s why I was here in Mumbai. I didn’t want to become a Hindi film hero. I wanted to become an actor and I wanted to tell stories. I see no point in telling the same story twice. I spend so much energy on doing a film that I can’t redo the entire emotion and beats. I can’t put myself through that again. It’s not exciting for me because I know the scenes and everything, it’s exciting no longer,” Vijay told during the interview.

The actor further added that there are exciting stories that he will look forward to giving a positive nod to. "There are so many interesting stories out there that I wouldn’t want to waste six more months of my life doing the same thing. If there are other actors who are excited by it, it’s much nicer because you need to be excited. It’s fresh for them and they might have a new approach. It just doesn’t interest me as much. That’s the only reason. Karan asked me, ‘Will you do Dear Comrade?’ and I said no. But I have other scripts I can look at, not this,” Vijay added.

Karan watched the film at the private screening with Vijay in attendance. The actor flew down to Mumbai specifically for this reason. Karan and Vijay posed for pictures with the team of the film. After watching the film, Karan penned a note for the team along with the remake announcement.
