After Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety's success, Kartik Aaryan has emerged as the dark horse of Bollywood. The actor has an eclectic lineup of films ahead including Love Aaj Kal 2, Pati Patni Aur Woh and Dostana 2. Interestingly, there have been reports that the actor will star in the sequel to Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which released in 2007. On the other hand, Kartik was also reportedly offered a romantic film by Anees Baazmee alongside Disha Patani. However, a report in a leading daily claims that Kartik has refused to do the Disha starrer as he is keen on doing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Nonetheless, there's has been no bad blood between Kartik and Anees Bazmee as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is also being helmed by him and hence, the director has put his other film on hold.
Now that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is in the works, everyone is eager to know which actress will star opposite Kartik in the film. According to the report in the daily, the makers are keen to pick a female lead from from Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. "The makers T-Series along with Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde want a younger cast for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and right now, the script is being finalised. They have a few options in mind. It will mostly be a pick between Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. Both of them have positioned themselves really well and now, it depends on who can schedule their dates for the film," a source was quoted as saying.
Well, looks like Kartik has ditched the college romance alongside Disha to star opposite Sara or Janhvi in the film. Interestingly, Kartik has worked with Sara in the remake of Love Aaj Kal, while he and Janhvi be seen together in Dostana 2.
For now, we await an official confirmation from the actors and the makers on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
