Director Shankar and Kamal Haasan reunited for Indian 2 after nearly two decades. However, the film was put on hold for a few months due to a rumoured fallout between Shankar and Lyca Productions. Now, we hear that the issues have been sorted out and the team will resume shooting on August 19.
The cast of Shankar’s Tamil film Indian 2, is getting bigger by the day. The film will now see Rakul Preet join the cast. The actress was recently seen in the Bollywood film De De Pyaar De with Ajay Devgn and Tabu. Indian 2 also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Aishwarya Rajesh and Priya Bhavani Shankar. A source said, “Rakul was excited when she was offered the role because it’s a Shankar-Kamal Haasan combination. She will be paired opposite Siddharth in the film, and she will join the team from August.”
Indian 2, a sequel to the 1996-blockbuster flick of the same name, will be made as a trilingual namely, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
