Watch: Ahead of Mission Mangal's trailer launch, Akshay Kumar unveils an emoji devoted to the film

As the nation gears up to celebrate World Emoji Day, Akshay Kumar who is currently gearing up for the trailer launch of his upcoming film Mission Mangal, unveiled an emoji dedicated to the space-themed film. Akshay shared the emoji on his Twitter account on Wednesday morning and thanked the platform and his fans for the enthusiasm shown behind designing it.

In the motion video, vector elements assemble themselves into the structure that resembles Mars. Within a fraction of seconds, after Mars is visible, a space shuttle makes a quick appearance which is followed by our Indian flag finding a place on the surface of the planet. Akshay captioned, "It’s amazing to see so much enthusiasm to find the best emoji for #MissionMangal. The #MissionMangalEmoji has just been made. Thank you @TwitterIndia #WorldEmojiDay"

On Tuesday, Akshay had dropped in a tweet asking his fans for the emoji suggestion and it seems they have done their job pretty well.

Mission Mangal traces the story of scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission, which marked India's first interplanetary expedition. Mission Mangal is directed by Jagan Shakti, who is making his directorial debut with the film. Apart from Akshay, the film stars Vidya Balan who plays the leader of the team of the female scientists who made the mission possible. Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Sharmin Joshi and Nithya Menen are also cast in important roles. Produced by R Balki along with Akshay, Mission Mangal is all set to release on August 15, 2019. The teaser of the film was unveiled on July 9 while the trailer is all set to come out tomorrow.
