'Didn’t like the new version, it’s a mess': Nora Fatehi's 'O Saki Saki' slammed by original actress Koena Mitra

Koena Mitra, who featured in the original 2004 hit song Saaki Saaki slammed the remixed version of the song, which will appear in John Abraham's upcoming film Batla House. The new version is picturized on dancer turned actress Nora Fatehi who had earlier impressed with her moves in the remake of Dilbar, last year.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, upon viewing a teaser for the new song, Koena wrote, “My song from Musafir #Saaki Saaki has been recreated. Sunidhi, Suhwinder, Vishal, Shekhar combination was outstanding. Didn’t like the new version, it’s a mess! This song had crashed many blockbusters! Why Batla House, why?”

To this, actress Sophie Choudry tweeted, "You were outstanding in that song Koena!! Nora is lovely but wish every single song wasn’t being remade.. especially when the original still sounds so amazing and fresh!! Sunidhi and Sukhiji killed it!". Replying to Sophie, Koena tweeted, "Thanks Sophie. I agree, Iconic songs shouldn't be remade. Sunidhi and sukhiji shouldn't have been replaced... Simple."

Batla House, directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Emmay Entertainment’s Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani & JA Entertainment in association with Bake My Cake Films’ Sandeep Leyzell, is all set to release on August 15, 2019.
