It won't be wrong to say that John Abraham, with his choice of films, has become the face of action thrillers. The actor this week launched the trailer of his upcoming investigation drama Batla House and now he is all set to add another layer to the genre of action films with Attack. Attack is said to be a hostage drama, inspired by real incidents. The actor made the film's announcement with a post on Instagram while unveiling his look as a ranger.
"A hostage crisis..a Nation on its knees.. it's a race against time!! ATTACK - an action thriller inspired by true events, directed by debutant @lakshyarajanand. Shoot begins Dec'19. Really excited!," John wrote. Take a look at the post here:
Speaking about the film that belongs to John's favourite genre, the actor said, "At JA Entertainment, we believe in 'content first'. It is our endeavour to push the envelope and produce films that entertain and have something significant to show to the increasingly discerning audience. Attack is a taut, interesting thriller with a strong storyline and a genre that I love! I am happy that Dheeraj and Ajay are on board this very interesting project." Ajay Kapoor of Kyta Productions, who will be bankrolling the project said, "Attack is an intelligent, engaging story, which needs to be told for audiences of the younger generation. Working with John Abraham and his production banner has been a pleasure as we think alike on films. We look forward to this exciting collaboration."
Written & Directed by debutant Lakshya Raj Anand, Attack will be produced by Dheeraj Wadhawan & Ajay Kapoor's Kyta Productions & John's JA Entertainment. The two production houses have earlier collaborated on their super hit film, Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran and RAW (Romeo Akbar Walter).
