We stand by you Team India! Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar and others react to India's defeat against New Zealand during the World Cup 2019 Semi-Finals

In an unfortunate situation, the Indian Cricket team failed to make it to the World Cup 2019 Finale owing to their defeat against New Zealand during the first Semi-Final match held today. Soon after the match ended, our Bollywood celebrities thanked Team India for their efforts and lauded their performance in the entire tournament. Actors like Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar, Rishi Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Arjun Rampal, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and several others shared their message for the team on their Twitter account.

Aamir penned a note for Virat Kohli.

Varun said,"Respect and thank you team india for giving us everything."

Karan wrote, "I hate to sound like an old school uncle( trollers will say aunt but it’s not about me) whn I say ..”nazar lag gayee..”the boys fought valiantly and had a great run! We must applaud their incredible journey..not just focus on the destination!"

Rishi captioned,"Well played New Zealand, well played India! Underdogs did it"

Huma also shared her words for the team.

 

Arjun said he was proud of the fight our team put up. He wrote, "We fought till the end! We might've lost but the boys put up a fight! Super proud of @imjadeja and @msdhoni Win or lose we always stand behind the team! #INDvsNZ"

 

Ardent cricket fans- Anupam and Boman thanked the team for the pride and said the Men In Blue are the true heroes.
