We still share the same passion for cinema: Rajkummar Rao on reuniting with Kangana Ranaut in Judgementall Hai Kya

Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut collaborated for the first time in Vikas Bahl's Queen and now the two are all set to share screen space yet again in Ekta Kapoor's Judgementall Hai Kya. The trailer of the film, a whodunit directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and written by Kanika Dhillon, was launched recently and has quickly managed to pique the interest of the audience with its gritty plot and storyline. Now in an interaction with a leading daily, Rajkummar mentioned how he's excited to work with like-minded people like Kangana and reveals that her spontaneity as an artiste kept him on his toes.

"We still share the same passion [for cinema]. I was excited to work with Kangana because when you work with like-minded actors, your performance becomes better. Many a times, I would improvise, and she was always supportive about it. We would often discuss and rehearse before giving a shot, and it would [improve] the final outcome," he was quoted as saying.

When asked about the fabulous response that the trailer is getting, Rajkummar claims that he's flattered. "When I said yes to the film, I knew that I was [signing up] for something unusual. [The treatment that has been employed in the movie] has never been done before. That's where the challenge lay. Also, this is the first time I'm doing a thriller," says Rao, happy to add another genre to his eclectic filmography." Futhermore, he talked about his character Keshav, a seemingly-straitlaced guy with a mysterious past, and said, "My character is edgy and layered. So I had to prepare accordingly, I had to understand the nuances and adopt a particular body language."

Backed by Ekta Kapoor, Judgementall Hai Kya is slated to be released on July 26.
