After keeping mum on their relationship for the longest time, Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora have come out in the open by not only making public appearances but by showering love on each other's Instagram posts, as well. While Arjun has lately not been shying away from talking about his love life, Malaika confirmed on Instagram that she is indeed in a relationship with Arjun through her birthday post for him. Currently, the two lovebirds are holidaying in New York and are setting major couples goals with their stunning pictures doing the rounds.
Now, during an interaction with a leading magazine, Malaika got candid about Arjun, their age-difference, wedding date and more. She also talked about finding love again after getting divorced, and said she is glad that she took the chance again. "It feels amazing! When my marriage ended, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be in another relationship and was scared of being heartbroken. But I also wanted to be in love, nurture a relationship, and this new me gave me the confidence to put myself out there and take a chance. I am so glad I did," she was quoted as saying.
Claiming that she gives a 'flying f**k' to trolls commenting on her age difference with Arjun, Malaika quipped, "The age difference doesn’t really pop up when you are in a relationship. It is about two minds and hearts connecting. Unfortunately, we live in a society that refuses to progress with time. An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere, but when the woman is older, she’s called ‘desperate’ and a ‘buddhi’. For people who think like this, I have just one line: Take a flying f***."
She further went on to reveal her son Arhaan's reaction to her relationship and mentioned how the best way to approach any situation is with honesty. "It's important to tell your near and dear ones what’s happening in your life and then give them time and space to understand and process things. We have had that conversation and I am so glad that everyone is in a much happier and more honest space today," Malaika said.
Last but not the least, Malaika was questioned about her impending wedding with Arjun, to which she signed off by saying, "That, I am not going to answer. It’s really personal…"
