Here’s why Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor returned abruptly from Varanasi without completing their ‘Brahmastra’ shoot

Alia Bhatt who was shooting for her upcoming film Brahmastra opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Varanasi had to cut short her shoot three days prior the wrap-up because she had to urgently return to Mumbai after she fell sick on the sets. A leading tabloid reported that the actress returned back to the bay after her health deteriorated.

Alia will be consulting a specialist in Mumbai before she heads back to the sets. Apparently, she will be taking time off from the shooting of the film to recuperate. Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy had also accompanied Ranbir and Alia to Varanasi for the shoot. The actors shot their scenes in scorching temperature of 40 degree Celsius.

A source told the tabloid, “Alia continued to work but Ayan (Mukerji, the director of Brahmastra) decided to call off the shoot. The team will now return to the city in November for the song." Apparently, Alia and Ranbir were in the city to shoot a song for the next three days but due to extreme heat and Alia’s ill health, the shoot got postponed.

Brahmastra is a trilogy and also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Dimple Kapadia. On Monday, Ranbir and Alia were snapped at the Mumbai airport returning back from Varanasi.
