Akshay Kumar requests everyone to stop spreading rumours about ‘Sooryavanshi’ vs ‘Inshallah’

Akshay Kumar is currently busy shooting daredevil stunts for his upcoming cop drama Sooryavanshi that is directed by Rohit Shetty and also stars Katrina Kaif. The film was supposed to hit the theatres on Eid 2020 clashing massively with Salman Khan’s Inshallah that also stars Alia Bhatt and is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. However, since Sooryavanshi is 40% complete Rohit and Akshay do not want to prolong the release and hence decided to prepone the release date to March 27, 2020. The new release date was announced by Salman on Twitter.

However, many netizens were not very happy with the change of the release date and started throwing brickbats at Rohit, Akshay and Salman as well. However, Akshay took to his Twitter account today and made a statement on the changed date and asked everyone to stop all the rumours regarding the clash between Sooryavanshi and Inshallah. Check out his tweet below:

Akshay’s tweet appears to come on the heels of Twitter trends such as #BoycottSooryavanshi and #ShameOnRohitShetty started trending for the date change. However, since the film is already ahead of its schedule we’re sure Akshay and Rohit had no reason to wait for Eid 2020 to it to release, after all, Akshay’s films have never been partial to any select festivals, unlike other superstars. For him, every day is a holiday and every day is a festival, no wonder he is the most bankable star in Bollywood today.
