Varun Dhawan dismisses rumours of recreating VT station in London for his film ‘Coolie No.1’

A recent report in an entertainment website had suggested that the iconic and important VT station will be recreated for Varun Dhawan’s remake of Govinda’s hit comedy film Coolie No.1. However, now Varun has come forward and dismissed such rumours. He posted on Twitter to clarify his stance on this speculation. The film also stars Sara Ali Khan in the lead role opposite Varun. She will be essaying Karisma Kapoor’s role in the film.

Varun took to Twitter to dismiss the rumours of recreating the VT station or Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in London. He quoted the report and wrote, “Not true but this actually made me laugh thank u for the humour.” After Varun’s tweet, the report was deleted from the website but the deed was done.

Reacting to the rumours, Varun told a leading daily, “We are putting a set for shoot and rest we shoot in a live station.” He further clarified that they will not be recreating the VT Station in London but shooting on a live station will be done for authenticity.

Varun and Sara starrer Coolie No.1 will also be directed by the former’s father David Dhawan who directed the original version as well. The film is produced by Vashu Bhagnani and is slated to release on May 1, 2020.
