'How can you ask such a question at an event like this?' - Imran Khan reacts when asked about divorce rumours from wife Avantika Malik

Imran Khan has been missing from the radar for quite some time now. However, recently the news of the actor’s marriage with wife Avantika Malik hitting a rough patch started doing the rounds. It was being speculated that the couple is heading for divorce as Avantika has left Imran’s house with their daughter Imara and is staying with her parents. She also dropped the surname ‘Khan’ from her social media accounts that further added fuel to the already raging fire.

Recently, Imran attended an event where he was asked about the divorce rumours. According to reports published in a daily, Imran refused to answer the question and told the reporters, “How can you ask such a question at an event like this?" However, the actor-director did not lose his cool and kept smiling for the shutterbugs. He was also recently clicked by paparazzi at a gym. His frail and weak frame sent netizens in a frenzy as they got worried about his health.

Netizens speculated that maybe the upheavals in his career and marriage are the cause for his thin physique and whether he was suffering from some physical ailment. However, Imran smiled for the cameras. Avantika’s mother Vandana Malik had dismissed the divorce rumours and said, “We all (Vandana, Avantika and Imran) read the news and let me tell you that there is no such thing. There are some differences (between the husband and wife), which will be sorted anyway.” She also added that Imran and Avantika are “absolutely not” considering divorce.

Imran and Avantika have been married for eight years. Imran made his Bollywood debut with the successful Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and last year made his directorial debut with Mission Mars: Keep Walking India.
