Diljit Dosanjh is the new age "Force of Fashion" and we would all agree to it. With his unconventional yet classy style, the singer turned actor has taken over the fashion industry in his own way. The actor recently graced the June cover of Vogue India and oh boy, he looked fab. He revealed to the magazine that his friends don't understand why he spends so much on clothes and his family has literally no clue about his lavish purchases. He also confessed that he spends literally EVERYTHING on shoes and clothes and well, why won't he?
Diljit set the record straight. “My friends don’t understand why I burn my money on these designer purchases. Boltey hain kyu paise kharab karta hai. My family, too, has no clue. I don’t wish for them to ever know, either,” he revealed. “Just that they all know main sabse zyada fashionable banda hoon.” He spoke about fashion being his love and passion. “This is my passion, and I put in all the research. I try to get some meaty bedtime browsing to see what’s new,” he added.
Diljit reminisced about his childhood when his access to designer clothes was limited. “Bua chachi koi jean le aayi, wahi chalta tha. I would save it for a grand occasion to show it off,” he recalled.“Now that I have the access and money, I spend all of it on clothes and shoes. I have no other pursuits. I don’t drink or smoke. I live on producers’ money. Everything in my life is taken care of. I don’t see a better way of spending my money," he added. But he was quick enough to tell that he wouldn't spend a penny had he not been in this industry. “Agar main show business mein nahi hota, I swear, main ek rupaya nahi kharchna tha.”
