Watch: Hawa Aane De, sings Akshay Kumar as he urges fans to say no to air pollution

On World Environment Day today, Bollywood celebrities have come forward to create awareness about air pollution. From Akshay Kumar and Arjun Kapoor to Varun Dhawan and Shekhar Kapur, the stars have requested fans to stop air pollution in their own unique ways. 

Akshay Kumar being Bollywood's Khiladi, created awareness in a unique way as he posted a video of himself singing 'Hawa Aane De'. The actor shared the video and wrote, "Air Pollution is a silent killer claiming millions of lives every year. On #WorldEnvironmentDay lets all come together and pledge to do our bit to improve the quality of air. #HawaAaneDe"

Arjun Kapoor also took to Twitter to create awareness about air pollution. He wrote, "Air pollution affects us all & it's an issue that has been trying to get our attention for a while...If we don’t act now, soon we’ll have no option. Today on #WorldEnvironmentDay, let's start with educating and empowering ourselves to #BeatAirPollution!"

Varun Dhawan also posted on World Environment Day. He wrote, "#WorldEnvironmentDay lets care for this planet like we care for our loved ones #motherearth."

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur shared lessons of life on World Environment Day. He wrote, "Lessons of Life : You are nature. You are not separate from Nature. When you admire Nature you admire yourself. When you destroy Nature you destroy yourself."

World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year.
