2018 will be remembered for two things in Bollywood-firstly for big, fat celebrity weddings and second for content-driven films raking in the moolah at the box office. Right from Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja, Neha Dhupia-Angad Bedi, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, the Bollywood celebrities tied the knot left, right and centre. And now, the youngest superstar Varun Dhawan is next in line to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal. However, according to Varun’s father and filmmaker David Dhawan, 'there is no question of a wedding this year.'
In a recent interview with an entertainment portal, David refuted all the speculations and rumours surrounding his younger son’s marriage and said, “They’ve (media) decided the venue, the month. Abb date bhi wohi decide kar len. So I can be there on the date decided by them for my son’s wedding. On a more serious note, this news is absolutely bogus. No truth in it at all. My son is shooting for Remo D’Souza’s film. Then he starts shooting my film. There is no question of a wedding this year. If it happens, it will happen next year, not before that.”
Previously, an entertainment portal had quoted a source as saying, "The Dhawans are planning a big wedding towards the year-end. Varun and Natasha and the families have decided on a December date for the big day. In all probabilities, it will be a destination marriage. As of now, they are looking at getting the entire contingent to Goa for a beach wedding."
However, now that David has dismissed these rumours it remains to be seen when Varun and Natasha walk down the aisle. We hope we get to witness another starry wedding at the earliest.
