Kiara Advani isn't just a pretty face but a powerhouse of talent who shot to popularity post the popular web series on Netflix titled Lust Stories. Kiara featured with Vicky Kaushal in Karan Johar-directed short film. Kiara, while giving an interview on a chat show recalled the reaction of her maternal grandmother for the orgasm scene. Kiara said that her grandmother being an Anglo-Indian couldn't follow a few scenes and found it difficult to read scenes between the lines. She added that her grandmother watched the film like 'deadpan'.
"My grandmother had come to stay with me, and the film had just released on Netflix. She's part British, so there were certain jokes that she didn't get. She was reading it with the subtitles. Everyone else was laughing, there were a lot of reactions of the people watching. When my grandmother was watching it, she was watching it with a straight face, like deadpan," Kiara said while reminiscing the hilarious encounter.

Adding to the fun, Kiara said her grandmother didn't follow much in the show including the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham scene. After texting her grandmother, Kiara was able to measure her reaction towards the scene. "I was like, 'Grandma, you do understand what happened?' Also, she didn't get the context to the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... I asked, 'You get the context, right? Like, she has had this moment and orgasm in front of the entire family.' She's like, 'Well, in front of the whole world now.' And I was shocked. Oh God!," Kiara recalled.
The actress said that her parents were aware of the scenes and said they remained unaffected it. "I had seen it and my parents had seen it. Everyone loved it and all of that. They knew everything when I had said yes to the film. So, they were informed. I prepared them," Kiara told.
In Lust Stories, Kiara played the role of Megha, a schoolteacher whose husband Paras(Vicky) is unable to satisfy her sexual desires.
