It's not really about young against old: Tabu on her film De De Pyaar De

Tabu is gearing up for her upcoming release De De Pyaar De which is a romantic comedy and also stars Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet in the lead along with her. After Rohit Shetty’s 2017 hit Golmaal Again, De De Pyaar De sees Tabu back in a funny avatar. However, when she was quizzed about the same during a recent interview, Tabu credited producer Luv Ranjan and director Akiv Ali for the humour quotient.

The film revolves around a 50-year-old man (Ajay) who is in a relationship with a woman (Rakul) half his age and is caught between her and his ex-wife (Tabu). During the interview, Tabu was asked whether the film is ageist. She said, “It is not really about young against-old but about different people and where they are in their lives. Everybody is going to have a different viewpoint.”

She further added, “Someone in their 20s, who is starting off their life, will have different expectations from their partner; what they look for in love. Someone in their 40s, hopefully, comes with a different experience or understanding of love. It’s about growth… it’s about maturity,” she explains.

The film also stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Javed Jaffrey and Alok Nath. It is slated to release on May 17 but is also available for paid previews a day prior on May 16.
