As the world celebrates Mother's Day today on May 12, our B-Town celebs are leaving no stone unturned to thank their mothers in the most special way. Similarly, Janhvi Kapoor shared a throwback picture with her mom Sridevi on her Instagram account. In the picture from her childhood, a little Janhvi can be seen comfortably sitting on her mom's lap as she flashes an innocent smile. Dressed in a traditional golden coloured ghaghra choli, Janhvi looks every bit adorable while Sridevi personifies elegance in an off white and red silk saree.
Asking her followers to cherish mothers and listen to them, Janhvi captioned the picture as, "Cherish them, listen to them, give them all the love in the world Happy Mother’s Day". See for yourself:
Sridevi passed away due to accidental drowning in February 2018 in Dubai, where she was present to attend her nephew, Mohit Marwah's wedding. Her younger daughter Khushi Kapoor accompanied Sridevi and Boney Kapoor to the wedding while Janhvi gave it a skip owing to her debut film Dhadak's ongoing shoot. In an interview early this year, Janhvi talked about her mother’s untimely death and said, "I think, I was still in that state of shock, to be very honest. I think I am still in shock. None of it has been processed. Like, I have no memory of three or four months.”
On the work front, Janhvi is currently shooting for Gunjan Saxena biopic, titled Kargil Girl. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film will see Janhvi play one of the first Indian female helicopter pilots.
