Bandita Sandhu bags role in American sci-fi series Pandora, October co-star Varun Dhawan gushes over her

Banita Sandhu, of October fame, took to her official Twitter to announce that she had bagged a role in a new American sci-fi series titled Pandora. This is the actress' second project after making her Bollywood debut with October. What made this even sweeter was her October co-star Varun Dhawan's tweet, congratulating her on the role.

Banita shared a tweet announcing her role by the CW network and wrote, "So thrilled to announce my next project with the CW." To which Varun responded with his usual humour, " Wohoo so proud of you Bani. Does this mean I have to get in touch with your agent now to see you."

Banita responded to Varun with the same wit and funny jab, saying, "I’ll have her contact you now one sec x."

The other actors that are cast in the series are Oliver Dench, Raechelle Banno, John Harlan Kim, Ben Radcliffe, Banita, Martin Bobb-Semple and Noah Huntley. According to reports, the production of the series is underway in Bulgaria. Set in 2199, Pandora revolves around Jax, played by Priscilla Quintana, a resourceful young woman who has lost everything after the death of her parents. Banita will play Delaney Pilar, Jax's roommate.

Banita will also be seen in the Tamil remake of Telugu flick Arjun Reddy. Earlier in an interview to a daily, Banita said, "I was approached for a few south and Hindi movies earlier, too. It's just that I was waiting for the right film and when this offer came, I couldn't say 'no'. As far as this project is concerned, the production team expressed their interest to cast me. I have seen Arjun Reddy. I hope our film will be as interesting as the original version and meet the expectations. We haven't finalised the dates for shooting."
