Last Thursday, Karan Johar announced his upcoming project Shershaah, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The film is based on the ‘true story’ of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra, as revealed by the filmmaker. Now adding to the excitement, the film, which will be directed by Vishnu Varadhan, went on floors today in Chandigarh and the first shot was done by none other than Lt Gen Y K JOSHI, (then Lt Col.) and Commanding officer of 13 JAK Rifles during KARGIL War 1999.
