Rohit Shetty shared the first look of Akshay Kumar as ATS Chief Veer Sooryavanshi on his Instagram account on Tuesday. Introducing the 'Ghost Department' of Sooryavanshi, Rohit wrote, "No Uniforms... No Marked Cars...ANTI TERRORISM SQUAD - The GHOST department of our Police Force...SOORYAVANSHI."
Looking intense and dug deep into the skin of the character of a strict looking, dutiful ATS chief, Akshay makes his strong persona felt in every bit of the picture. Dressed in a black tee and pants, Akshay seems to be undercover in the scene from where the picture was taken from. Take a look at it here.

With Sooryavanshi, Rohit is building a cop universe in Bollywood, similar to the Marvel Universe in Hollywood, that enjoys a massive fan following. Preceded by cop films started from Singham in 2011, Sooryavanshi will be the fourth film from the cop saga. As Akshay leads the pack in and as Sooryavanshi, the film also co-stars Katrina Kaif and Neena Gupta. When Karan Johar, the producer of the film shared a picture of Singham and Simmba aka Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh with 'Sooryavanshi' Akshay, a subtle hint was dropped that they might make an appearance in the form of an extended cameo. Sooryavanshi, produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions will release on Eid this year.
