I can completely relate to Manju's character as I have similar traits in me in real life: Tabu on her role in De De Pyaar De

Tabu is one heck of an actress and that goes unsaid. Tabu has consistently depicted characters that have made us gape at her in awe and now she is all set to wow us once again with her portrayal of the dazzling ‘Manju’ in the upcoming quirky rom-com De De Pyaar De. The laugh-riot starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet and Tabu in pivotal roles has already got the audience excited, and the feisty ‘Manju’ has seamlessly won their hearts. Interestingly, while Tabu has never been trapped in a situation like that shown in the film, the National Award-winning actress feels that Manju of De De Pyaar De and she have a lot in common than one could have ever imagined.

Tabu admits that Manju is a lot like her in real life. She said, “I can completely relate to Manju's character as I have similar traits in me in real life. Although I haven't gone through everything that Manju goes through in life, I can still relate to it because that's how I would react to a situation in the real world.”

Giving credit to the film’s writer and co-producer Luv Ranjan, Tabu further explained, “I am sure Luv thought the same way and that's the reason he offered me to play this part. If ever I am thrown in a situation like this in life, I will also take steps and act the way Manju acts. The character has a sense of maturity blended perfectly with strength, ease and no mellow-drama.”

Well, no wonder Tabu is looking so effortless in her representation of Manju on-screen, and the more we look at the glimpses of her from the film, the more certain we are that nobody could have played the role better than her.

De De Pyaar De is directed by Akiv Ali and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film will hit the screens on May 17, 2019.
