Sanjay Leela Bhansali is working on full swing for his upcoming ambitious project Inshallah that stars Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in the lead. Reportedly, the filmmaker has spent four days last week scouting for locations for the film in Haridwar, Rishikesh and Uttarkashi. He also visited the famous Maya Devi temple in Haridwar and sought the blessings of the presiding deity before embarking on his recce quest.
Chinmay Pandit, the line producer in Haridwar told a leading daily, “Bhansali sir last week yahan aaye thay aur unhone Haridwar aur Rishikesh mein kuchh locations dekhen hain jo unhe pasand bhi aaye hain. Sir also saw the Ganga Aarti and also participated in it in Haridwar besides seeing a few houses too.” Pandit took Bhansali around the towns to zero on probable shoot locations. Reportedly, Bhansali also saw a few bylanes and ashrams in town and the popular ghats as well.
Apparently, Bhansali wants to shoot the film in the religious town of Varanasi and will be conducting a thorough recce in the coming days. Talking about Varanasi, Pandit said, “I am still awaiting his (Bhansali’s) confirmation for that as to when he wants to go there.” Inshallah is a much-anticipated film as it will bring Salman and Bhansali together after almost a gap of two decades.
