I don't remember a time where my acting wasn't appreciated or my films didn't do well: Sonam Kapoor to troll who called her a ‘flop actress’

With the advent of social media, celebrities get to interact with their fans and also always be in relevance. However, the bane is that they have to bear the brunt of several trolls, naysayers and nasty comments. Every celebrity out there has to face their trolls on social media sometimes they succumb to the pressure and delete their social media accounts and sometimes they just laugh it off and give a befitting reply that shuts them up. Sonam Kapoor is no stranger to being trolled on social media.

Sonam has been trolled for her acting, for the way she speaks and also for her views. Recently, the actress appeared on Arbaaz Khan’s chat show Pinch, and read a nasty comment about her. A troll called her a “flop actress”. Sonam shut him up like a boss. She said, “I don't remember my last flop. But I think till seven years ago, I don't think I did have films that I could speak much about. I think when I signed Raanjhanaa (2013) and I started looking at scripts, my films did relatively well. I don't remember a time where my acting wasn't appreciated or my films didn't do well."

Sonam reaped accolades for her performance in Neerja and PadMan. She further added, “In India and across the world, lives are so miserable because there is so much misery around. So you kind of envy people who are achieving something. Because of so much competition around, people can't stand it when people are doing well.”

Talking about the nasty comments on social media she said, “I have millions of followers on Twitter so I can't sit and read comments. Also, I cannot take one person's snarky comment seriously. I believe a lot in prayer and sometimes, I do pray saying that I hope that negativity and hate is not there in this world. I honestly believe that even a hater is a lover.” She revealed that she used to get affected by such hateful comments but now she doesn’t bother.
