On Neha Dhupia's chat show, Sonali arrived with her besties Gayatri Oberoi and Sussanne Khan and spoke at length about losing her hair.

During the show, Sonali shared that her hair was an integral part of her personality and even landed her her first film, K Ravi Shankar’s Aag in 1994. Talking about the dramatic hair loss that she underwent as a result of intense chemotherapy sessions, she said, “My sisters and friends were with me for support. I was sure I didn’t want it to be clumpy and feel horrible about it. I wanted to enjoy getting rid of it as much as I had loved wearing it. My friends and our kids were all with me when I got the first haircut. I kept it short and it did look nice.”

Sonali further revealed that Gayatri had suggested that she keep the hair so that a wig can be made out of it. However, Sonali did not like the idea and said, “I said no. Let’s just give it away, it’s not meant to be, just let it go.” Well, Sonali has definitely become a ray of hope for all the cancer fighters and has taught all of us even the healthy ones how to switch on the sunshine.
