As Ajay Devgn turned 50 on April 2, the trailer of his new film De De Pyaar De dropped online. The Akiv Ali-directed film, co-starring Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu, is loaded with humorous dialogues and depicts an amusing plot line. Ajay, cast as Ashish, is 50 and falls for Rakul Preet’s character Ayesha, 26. Ashish is divorced and Tabu has been cast as his ex-wife.
Ashish is often reminded of his age difference with Ayesha by his peers but he cites examples of celebrities engaged in a similar situation such as Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Ashish and Ayesha meet in London and start dating but the real fun begins after he introduces her to his family and Manju. His children are of Ayesha’s age and while she interacts with Ashish’s family, Manju and Ayesha often end up in a sarcastic exchange of words.
Though Manju accepts Ayesha, she also leaves no stone unturned in playfully interfering between Ayesha and her ex-husband. What will be the fate of Ayesha’s and Ashish’s relationship? Watch the trailer of De De Pyaar De to figure out:
De De Pyaar De co-stars Jimmy Sheirgill and Alok Nath, who was accused of raping producer Vinta Nanda 19 years ago.
