Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn will begin shooting for Luv Ranjan’s film by the end of 2019, a leading daily reports, adding that the project is not a romantic comedy but an action-thriller. The project will be filmed in India and abroad while sources told the daily that Luv has been working hard on the script since the past two years.
The film will be made on a huge budget and will also include high-octane action sequences. “Luv has been working on the script for almost two years now. The first draft of the script is locked, and the film will go on the floors by the year-end. It is mounted on a huge budget. Once the final draft of the script is locked, Luv will go on a recce. After that, he will finalise a stunt team that will be a mix of Indian and international action directors,” the source was quoted as saying by the daily.

Apart from Ajay, Ranbir will perform difficult stunts as the source said, “He will be seen performing some stylish stunts alongside Ajay. The film’s team is planning action workshops for them ahead of filming.”
The female lead of the yet-untitled film hasn’t been finalized as yet while the report states that the makers are discussing the project with several A-list actresses for a “strong character”. Luv is planning to release the film on Christmas 2020. “The plan is to go on the floors by December this year and wrap it up by April 2020. As it is an action thriller, it will require a prolonged post-production,” the source added.
