On Saturday, Mukesh Ambani’s and Nita Ambani’s eldest son Akash Ambani got married to Shloka Mehta, daughter of diamantaire Russell Arunbhai Mehta. The wedding was everything that the name Ambani is associated with, it was extravagant, opulent, rich and larger-than-life. From having one pre-wedding bash after another and taking almost the entire Bollywood to St. Moritz for the pre-wedding bash, the wedding was equally opulent and over-the-top. The Ambanis had got Coldplay at the pre-wedding; they got Maroon 5 to croon at the reception.
If you thought their daughter Isha Ambani’s wedding last year was larger-than-life than you must have been pleasantly surprised by the scale and grandeur Akash’s wedding entailed.
