Karan Johar’s production venture Kalank is the year’s most-awaited film. Directed by Abhishek Varman the film boasts a stellar ensemble cast comprising of Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kunal Kemmu. The first look of the film as well as the first look posters of the stars with their character’s names and attributes have been released and they have increased the interest in the film hundred times more now.
Today, Karan, Alia, and the other stars shared brand new information related to the film on their social media handles. Alia shared a motion poster of the film Kalank and revealed that the teaser of the film will be released on March 12. She captioned the motion poster as, “The world of KALANK comes alive... TEASER out 12th March.”

Kalank is a special film as it is a period drama set in the 1940s and was conceived by Karan fifteen years ago. It was the last film on which his father the late producer Yash Johar worked on. However, after his demise, the film was put on hold but has now eventually found its way to celluloid. Veteran actress Sridevi was roped in for the film but due to her untimely death, Madhuri stepped in to take up her role. Kalank is slated to release on April 17.
