We kid you not! The families of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are reportedly meeting a priest sometime in April to look for an auspicious date on which the young Bollywood jodi might get married. At least that’s what an entertainment portal says quoting sources close to the Kapoors and Bhatts. Why April? Maybe because Rishi Kapoor, who is undergoing treatment for a serious ailment in New York, will only be in a position to return home by March end.
Frankly, Bollywood is not surprised. This was bound to happen. Ranbir and Alia have been a couple since January 2018 when they returned from Bulgaria where they had spent New Year on a recce for Brahmastra. And the young actors have been pretty much inseparable since then. So it was only a matter of time. Both the families are believed to be fully in favour of this matrimony. And a meeting with the pandit is the first step in that direction.

Bollywood will also be secretly relieved if this news is true because, of late, certain sections of the media had been speculating that there was trouble in paradise and Ranbir appeared to be chilling on the hot romance he shared with Alia. However, the couple dispelled these speculations once the promotions of Brahmastra began and they have been spotted together everywhere.

The film is slated for a Christmas. 2019 release. Meanwhile, another media report has it that Ranbir and Alia who spent last Christmas in NYC with Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, are reportedly looking at buying a house in the American city.
