Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif to wrap Bharat with a ‘crucial emotional scene’; can't wait for the film, right?

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will wrap their upcoming film Bharat today after shooting a “crucial emotional scene” with director Ali Abbas Zafar in Mumbai, a leading daily reports. Ali and Salman have been shooting for Bharat over the past 100 days in several locations including Malta, Abu Dhabi, Ludhiana and Delhi and will conclude the film in Mumbai.

Sources from the unit of Bharat told the daily that the final scene narrates Bharat’s story during the 70s and for his character, Salman will sport a thin moustache. After marrying Katrina’s character, Bharat will join the armed forces and the particular scene will be filmed in the midst of tight security.

"It is known that the period drama spans from India's independence in 1947 to 2000, witnessing the country's journey through the viewpoint of Salman's character Bharat. Salman will be seen in five different looks as he ages in the course of the film. The scene that will be canned tomorrow focuses on Bharat's story during the 1970s; the actor will be seen sporting a thin moustache in this portion. The decade chronicles Bharat's personal growth as he marries Katrina's character and then goes on to serve in the Armed Forces. The scene will be shot at a live location amid tight security. The producers have beefed up the security at the location as fans may throng the area to catch a glimpse of the stars,” the source told the daily.

The teaser of Bharat, which dropped online in January, depicted that the film spans across the “journey of a man and a nation together” and features Salman as a navy officer, a stunt artiste, an ageing boxer and a coal miner. In one of the scenes in the teaser, Salman also appeared in formals, at the Wagah Border.

Bharat is an official adaptation of 2014 South Korean film Ode To My Father. It is produced by Atul Agnihotri’s Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. The film also stars Sunil Grover, Disha Patani, Tabu and Nora Fatehi. It is scheduled to release on Eid 2019.
