Malvika Raaj, who played young Kareena Kapoor in K3G, is Rinzing Denzongpa’s heroine in Squad

Veteran actor Anita Raaj’s niece Malvika Raaj, who starred as the younger version of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, will star opposite Danny Denzongpa’s son Rinzing in Squad. In the film, Malvika has been cast as a sniper, Aria, and has also started training with the action team. Her character in the film chronicles the royal battle between the Special Forces.

Of her character, Malvika said, “She’s very knowledgeable about weapons which are important to the storyline. There’s a lot of action and a little bit of romance with Rinzing.” Meanwhile, Malvika is excited to co-star with Rinzing in Squad as she studied with him in the same school and also attended birthday parties together.

“We were in the same school and grew up in the same social circle. When we were young, we even attended each other’s birthday parties so now sharing the screen with him is going to be a lot of fun,” Malvika added.

As for her role in K3G, Malvika recalled memories as she said, “I played the younger Kareena Kapoor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The film will always be special as that’s when I realised I wanted to act.”

To be directed by Jyoti Kapur Das, Squad will begin filming in Mumbai in April, followed by a prolonged schedule in Budapest.
