Siddhant Chaturvedi reveals the best compliment he received for playing Gully Boy’s MC Sher was from Deepika Padukone

Siddhant Chaturvedi is reaping benefits for his outstanding performance as MC Sher in Gully Boy that has Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead. The film directed by Zoya Akhtar is already raking in the moolah at the box office but has brought Siddhant lots of praise. The debutant is also rumoured to be starring as a solo hero for an upcoming project made under Farhan Akhtar’s and Ritesh Sidhawani’s Excel Entertainment as well.

Siddhant has been receiving rave reviews for his performance in the film but the best compliment he received was from Deepika Padukone. While talking to a leading daily, Siddhant was asked about the best compliment that he received for his performance. To this he replied, “It was Deepika (Padukone) who said ‘Oh! He is just a boy. He is so cute’. People were expecting someone huge. You know like someone around 28."

He further added, "When people saw me in real they were quite astonished. They were like ‘Oh he is just 25! He is so cute.’ So I think that was a compliment. When people are surprised by your onscreen self and then they see you off screen that is actually a compliment. Also, they thought I am a real rapper.”

Now, isn’t that great, especially coming from a diva like Deepika herself? She has proved her mettle as an actress and her compliment to Siddhant shows how great he is in the film which also stars her husband Ranveer as the main lead.
