Salaam Tumko Bade Bhai: Ranveer Singh responds to Will Smith’s message of appreciation for Gully Boy role

Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy has been garnering a whole lot of love since the first day of its release. Not just fans and celebrities in India, but Hollywood biggies such as Will Smith were also in awe of the film. Recently, Will, on his Instagram story, congratulated Ranveer and also said he loved what he did in the film. Ranveer, thereafter, shared a story on his Instagram to thank the Suicide Squad actor for his shoutout.

His Instagram stories read, "Shoutout from the original rapper slash actor - BIG WILLY! RESPECT.", "SALAAM TUMKO BADE BHAI! BOHT HARD."

The lingo used by Ranveer in his Instagram post has basically been derived from his style of dialogue delivery in Gully Boy. Will Smith, aren't you loving it?

Will Smith is an American rapper and has also appeared in the films Where the Day Takes You, Hancock, Men in Black 3 and Suicide Squad. 

Gully Boy has been faring exceptionally well at the box office ever since its release. The film has earned Rs 81.10 crore so far while it is doing good business abroad as well. Not only fans but Gully Boy has impressed critics as well as the film opened to positive reviews from all quarters.

Gully Boy, directed by Zoya Akhtar, features Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the pivotal roles. Ranveer's character is inspired by Indian rappers Naezy aka Naved Shaikh and DIVINE aka Vivian Fernandes. Alia, on the other hand, stars as a medical student. Kalki Koechlin and Siddhant Chaturvedi co-star in Gully Boy, which released on February 14.
