Akshay Kumar's 'Bharat Ke Veer' collects Rs 7 crore for Pulwama martyrs' kin

Scores of Indians with their outpouring of grief over the Pulwama terrorist attack that killed 40 CRPF jawans on Thursday have generously opened their purse strings to contribute funds to the martyrs' next of kin. But the one fear every donor has from bitter experience of the past: will the donations reach the bereaved families or get swallowed up by greedy middlemen?

Now PeepingMoon.com can tell you with a hand on its heart that the only way a donor can contribute directly to the next of kin of defense and paramilitary forces personnel killed in action is through Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's IT-based app and website 'Bharat Ke Veer'.

PeepingMoon.com has reliably learned that while discussions are still being held on "compensation" and promises are being made on donations to the families of the 40 Pulwama victims, 'Bharat Ke Veer' has collected Rs. 7 crore for them already in a day and a half.

We have learned that Akshay himself will be making a heartfelt contribution of Rs. 5 crores towards the cause. The National Award winning actor is in London and reportedly returning tomorrow. His donation should happen thereafter.

When he launched 'Bharat Ke Veer' in April 2017, Akshay had said it was his initiative to honour the fallen soldier in association with the Union government. Donors could directly get in touch with the survivors of the martyrs through the 'Bharat Ke Veer' app or website and send them their contributions. The money would be routed through the State Bank of India with no transfer fee.

It is the same now, too. PeepingMoon.com appeals to people to make use of 'Bharat Ke Veer' to show the families of the Pulwama martyrs that you care for them.
