Sanjay Dutt to foray into Southern cinema and star opposite Yash in KGF: Chapter 2?

Sanjay Dutt has had long innings in Bollywood which is still going on. A veteran of many films he has been active in the Hindi film industry and found roles right since his debut but it’s interesting to note that he has only been seen in only one South Indian film so far and that too in a cameo. Sanjay made a guest appearance in Nagarjuna’s Telugu film Chandralekha an unofficial remake of While You Were Sleeping way back in 1998. The film had Isha Koppikar and Ramya Krishnan as the female leads.

However, a leading daily reported that Sanjay is about to make a foray once again and this time around with a full-fledged role. According to media reports, he has been approached to play a pivotal role in KGF: Chapter 2, the sequel to 2018’s smashing hit KGF starring Kannada superstar Yash and Srinidhi Shetty.

The film’s shoot is going on and the makers decided to rope in Sanjay for the mass appeal he generates and to expand the market further for the film in northern regions as well. However, the actor is yet to give his nod to the film which will bring him out of his comfort zone. The film’s pre-production phase is going on so that the shooting becomes hassle-free.
