Sonam Kapoor Ahuja made an appearance on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s radio chat show What Women Want and apparently hinted at a sequel to their 2018 film Veere Di Wedding, a leading daily reports. On the show, Kareena discussed the subject of Sonam’s new film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and also spoke at length about films on homosexuality.

After their conversation, Sonam signed off by telling Kareena, “Bebo, I’ll see you on Veere Di Wedding 2 set.” Okay then. We hope, we really hope, Sonam means it as reports of a sequel to Veere Di Wedding have been doing the rounds ever since.

Veere Di Wedding, directed by Shashanka Ghosh and co-produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi, featured Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania apart from Sonam and Kareena. The film received positive reviews and fared well at the box office as well.

Sonam’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga opened on February 1 to positive reviews. Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga co-stars Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Rajkummar Rao.

Kareena’s last film was Veere Di Wedding and she will appear next in Takht and Good News.
