The sequel to the 2002 film Aankhen that had Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Arjun Rampal and Sushmita Sen in the lead has been in the works for ages. Aankhen 2 has undergone its fair share of speculations on the cast and everyone related to the film.

However, one thing that has been confirmed is the fact that Amitabh will be back to reprise his role and Anees Bazmee will be directing the film. Bazmee has confirmed that the script of the film has been locked and the other key characters are in the process of being cast. According to latest media reports, the buzz is that Sunny Deol has been offered the role of the villain in the film.

If speculations turn out to be true then this will be a bonanza of sorts because the two powerhouse performers will be reuniting on screen after a huge gap of 25 years. They were last seen together in the film Insaniyat. The film also had Chunky Panday. However, there are no official confirmations whether Sunny gave his nod to the film or not, but we are keeping our fingers crossed.

According to reports, Sunny has liked the script but he wants to take some time to come to a decision. However, Bazmee is confident that he will convince Sunny to play a negative role in his career for the first time in the film. Hopefully, Sunny will be able to give a fabulous performance as he gave in Damini and we will get to see the actor back on the screen with a powerful role and with a loud bang.
