The first trailer of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga had left everyone mighty impressed as well as intrigued about the storyline. The film’s first trailer which hinted at an LGBTQ love story shows more in the second trailer that released today. The trailer shows the anguish, dilemma, and doubts of Sonam Kapoor. The film’s trailer also shows Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Regina Cassandra, Abhishek Duhan, and Juhi Chawla.
The first trailer gave us glimpses on the family coming-to-terms with their beloved daughter’s unusual love story. The second trailer shows the family’s ire, shock, and disbelief at Sonam’s big reveal and the compromised alliance of Sonam’s and Rajkummar’s characters. The trailer shows how progressive and cool the family is in accepting Sonam’s alliance with a Muslim boy citing examples of Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan and a joe on Salman Khan not marrying in this lifetime thrown in too for a hearty laugh. However, the most violent and aggressive reaction comes from Abhishek who is playing Sonam’s brother in the film.

The second trailer also hints at the fact that the play Rajkummar’s character is directing has strong and uncannily resemblance to Sonam’s character as she is seen behind a window’s bars (probably signifying the prohibitions imposed on homosexuality by society). In another scene, she is seen inside a glass box which also gives a strong indication of ‘being in the closet’. It also gives us a fleeting glimpse of Sonam's pairing with Regina.
Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar and is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film is slated to release on February 1.
