Gully Boy song Doori: This powerful track about city slums ft. Ranveer Singh will leave you teary-eyed

The makers of Gully Boy recently released the entire music album of the Zoya Akhtar directorial at the grand event of music launch in Mumbai. Now the video of song Doori, which is one of the important songs from the jukebox, has been unveiled and it shows a hard-hitting picture reality of the city slums apart from hinting at the pay disparity and the growing poverty in the country. To say the least, the powerful track is heartbreaking.

Composed by Rishi Rich and penned by legendary Javed Akhtar and Divine, the song has been crooned by Ranveer himself. The video of the song begins with Ranveer recording the song while Alia Bhatt sits outside the recording room, along with his other friends. He is further seen asking about everything wrong with the country as he raps the song. Although the rhythm is mellow, Doori will certainly leave you intrigued.

Meanwhile, Gully Boy is a story inspired by slum rappers of Dharavi. Ranveer, who is paired opposite Alia for the first time on the big screen, is playing the role of a street rapper. His character is inspired by the journeys of Indian rappers Neazy aka Naved Shaikh and Divine aka Vivian Fernandes.

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Tiger Baby, Gully Boy is slated to release on February 14.
