Vicky Kaushal is being considered to play astronaut Rakesh Sharma in his biopic Saare Jahaan Se Achcha after Shah Rukh Khan reportedly quit the film, a report suggests. The makers of Saare Jahaan Se Achcha are planning to cast Vicky as Rakesh Sharma in the film after the success of his latest release Uri: The Surgical Strike.
The report, in fact, also states that Vicky was recently spotted outside Saare Jahaan Se Achcha producer Siddharth Roy Kapur's office in Mumbai following which speculation regarding his appearance in the film surfaced. However, no official confirmation has been made on this front by either party concerned.

Two weeks ago, a leading daily reported that SRK had opted out of Saare Jahaan Se Achcha after the failure of his 2018 release Zero and instead, decided to focus on Don 3. To be directed by Farhan Akhtar, Don 3 is expected to begin filming in 2019 itself.

Saare Jahaan Se Achcha will be directed by Mahesh Mathai. The film was offered to SRK after Aamir Khan opted out of it due to prior work commitments.
