It's been a while since Rishi Kapoor left for the US for an unknown treatment along with wife Neetu Kapoor. The actor is still in the USA for the treatment of the illness and people have been wishing well for the legendary actor. There were several reports making the rounds about the actor suffering from cancer, but none of the family members confirmed about the same. Neetu is also in the US with him and she is leaving no stones unturned in treating fans by sharing photos with Chintu Ji.

Today after several months, Rishi opened up about his illness during an interaction with a leading entertainment website. He stated, "My treatment is on, hopefully, I will recover soon and God willing I will return. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtue." He also spoke about keeping his professional life on hold currently. Kapoor added, "Thankfully, I am not thinking about films anymore, just want to be blank and refresh myself with a more relaxed mind. This break shall be therapeutic for me."
