Hrithik Roshan to be seen as a sea creature in S Shankar's science-fiction thriller?

After the success of his recent film 2.0, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, rumours are rife that director Shankar has approached Hrithik Roshan to play the lead role in his next untitled project. Earlier reports said that Hrithik and Shankar met to discuss the script and the 45-year-old actor was quite impressed with the plot – touted to be a science-fiction thriller – after the narration.

Sources now say that Hrithik is likely to be seen as an underwater entity in Shankar’s sci-fi thriller. Apparently, the offering will be a VFX-heavy underwater adventure, with Hrithik playing a sea creature possessing special powers. As per a leading daily, “Shankar has narrated the script to Hrithik. The story revolves around a gigantic sea creature with superpowers, and how a team sets out in search of it. The creature will be almost human, along with the lines of Akshay Kumar’s character in 2.0 (2018). Shankar has envisioned it as a 3D project. If Hrithik gives his nod he o it, the film will I’ll go on floors after he wraps up Krrish 4, and Shankar finishes Indian 2.

The gossip mill is abuzz the film might bear some resemblance with 2017 American romantic fantasy film The Shape Of Water directed by Guillermo del Toro's which won big last year at the Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Production Design, and Best Original Score. The Shape Of Water was set in 1962 where a mute cleaner at a high-security government laboratory who falls in love with a captured humanoid amphibian creature.

Even though Roshan and Shankar remained unavailable for comment but we cannot wait for the official announcement.
