It is not unknown that John Abraham and Anees Bazmee have teamed together again for Pagalpanti, which stars an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz and Arshad Warsi. And now we hear that Kriti Kharbanda, whose comedy camer Housefull 4 is already in-the-works, has been roped in as the second lead for the film and joining her will be Pulkit Samrat.
A leading daily quoted a source from the production house as saying, "While the makers were considering casting a fresh face for the second female lead, Kriti fit the bill as she is fairly underexposed in Bollywood. The producers were also comfortable with her because they have previously worked with her in Guest Iin London (2017)." Apparently, the paperwork is yet to be finalised and the official announcement about the entire cast will be made after that.

The comic caper is expected to kick off in Mumbai in the last week of February and post that, the entire case will reportedly will shoot across London and Leeds over a 50-day schedule. The source added, "After Kriti wraps up the patchwork shoot of Housefull 4 in the next few weeks, she will begin workshops for Pagalpanti with the cast. It's a masala comedy, true to Bazmee's signature style."
For the unversed, John and Ileana have been paired opposite each other while Anil's and Arshad’s characters have been cast to lend comic relief to the entire plot. Meanwhile, nothing much is known about Kriti's and Pulkit's characters as of now.
The release date of Pagalpanti has not been announced yet, however, it is expected to release sometime in the second half of 2019.
