Amul’s tribute to Kader Khan through its topical advertisement is heartbreaking

Amul topical advertisement never fails to surprise us. They are always to the point, subtle and at the same time manage to evoke certain feelings and emotions in the audience’s heart after looking at the advertisement. This time around they have managed to pay a tribute to the veteran actor and dialogue writer Kader Khan through their advertisement. Kader Khan passed away on December 31, 2018, in Canada after being hospitalized for a prolonged illness.

After his demise, tributes started pouring in for the veteran actor and a powerhouse of talent. Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, David Dhawan, Shakti Kapoor and several other celebs took to social media to pay homage to him. Today, Amul also took out its topical ad where it depicted Kader’s various and acclaimed roles in Bollywood.

Amul shared the topical ad with the caption, “#Amul Topical: Tribute to a fine film actor/screenwriter/comedian & director!” It used the caption with a play on the legendary actor-screenwriter, comedian and director’s name and read, “Sab kader karte the inki” (meaning he was well-respected by everyone).

Kader had made his debut in Bollywood with Daag in 1973 which had Rajesh Khanna in the lead. He subsequently appeared in 300 films and also wrote stories and dialogues for more than 250 films in Hindi and Urdu.
