Rohit Shetty who made our year-end euphoric by giving us a great film in the form of Simmba starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, also blew our minds off when he roped in Ajay Devgn in a cameo in the film. However, he teased our minds when he recently in an interview said that he is working towards creating a cop universe. PeepingMoon had exclusively reported that the director has roped in Akshay Kumar for his next directorial, now we have some more interesting news that will definitely make you grab your seats about this film.
Rohit’s next film is titled Sooryavanshi that will have Akshay in the lead playing the role of ATS Chief Veer Sooryavanshi. The film is reportedly going to start filming by April next year in Mumbai. This film is going to be an extension of the cop universe that Rohit is trying to create like the much-adored Marvel comics. The rest of the cast will soon be in place in the coming months of 2019. The filmmaker is soon going to lock the release date of December 27, 2019, for the film's release which is the last weekend of the year just like Simmba.

For the unversed, Akshay and Rohit were supposed to collaborate on a comedy film that was being directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Rohit but it did not materialize. However, this cop drama with Akshay in the lead is in the works as the actor has postponed Hera Pheri 3 to work on this film. Looks like Rohit’s cop universe will definitely give a tough fight to the Avengers and will be on the lines of the superhero film. Can’t wait to see Akshay and Rohit make a kill at the box office with this film, and that's not all, apparently, Ajay as Singham and Ranveer as Simmba will have a cameo in the film as well.
