Ever since Anurag Basu began filming his new project in October, speculations were rife that he is working on a sequel to 2007 film Life In A… Metro. In fact, recent pictures of the filmmaker shooting with Abhishek Bachchan on the streets of Kolkata, further ignited the rumours. However, amidst all the hullabaloo, the Jagga Jasoos director has finally cleared the air about his next film by stating that is not a sequel to Life In A… Metro since the plot and story line are totally different.
Speaking about it to a leading daily, he pointed out, "It has multiple plots, but it is not a sequel to Life In A… Metro. The genre and story are totally different and fresh. We have yet to decide the title and will figure the release date only after we wrap up the film." Interestingly, he also revealed the yet-untitled film's ensemble cast but refused to divulge any further details. "It features Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead," he added.

It would certainly be a delight to watch these fire-brand actor come together on the silver screen for the first time.
Meanwhile, apart from his next, Anurag is all geared up to team up again with Kangana Ranaut for the third time for Imali. Confirming that the project is definitely underway, he quipped, "I’m not sure when the film will go on the floors because currently, both of us are tied up with multiple projects. But we will sit down soon and decide on the timeline, the film is happening for sure.”
Well, after the Jagga Jasoos debacle, we cannot wait for Anurag to carve his magic on the silver screen.
