Sushant Singh Rajput is riding on cloud nine after the appreciation his film Kedarnath is getting that also features Sara Ali Khan and is directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The actor has been appreciated for his honest performance as a pithoo in the film. The film that released on December 7 has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark and is still looking strong in its second week of release.
Now, after the first look of his ex-flame Ankita Lokhande released from her debut film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi that has Kangana Ranaut playing the title role, Sushant took to social media to wish Ankita for her success in Bollywood. However, there social media chatter was completely friendly, cordial and with no ulterior motive whatsoever. Sushant said he is the same on social media and hence his comment was from the heart.
Sushant praised his former girlfriend and commented on casting director Mukesh Chhabra’s post who had shared Ankita’s first look as Jhalkari Bai and wrote, “It looks absolutely great Ankita. I am extremely happy to see this. May God bless you with lots of success and happiness.” To which Ankita had then replied, "Thank you Sushant. I wish you the same."
Sushant was about praising the look of Ankita from the film on Sunday night at the Star Screen Awards 2018 and he said, “I saw the picture and I really liked it. I wanted to congratulate her and so I did it.” He was prodded further if he personally congratulated Ankita, Sushant said, “I am the same person on the digital platform as in real life. I am myself there on social media. So the comment that I made on that post was not to show off but I really wanted to congratulate her. She also replied to my comment then. I feel there wasn't a need for any separate conversation."

Ankita, who arrived at the awards show minutes after Sushant refused to comment on his reply on her first look from the film. Talking about the film she said, “I am super excited for my film and I hope everyone likes my character of Jhalkari Bai. I am hoping for the best. I hope and wish people like the film.”
The trailer of the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi released today and it has piqued audience’s interest. Ankita and Kangana both look magnificent in the film. The film is scheduled to release on January 25, 2019.
