Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff attended Nagpur’s Sanskrutik Mahotsav inaugural event recently and were amazed to see that the actors are still very popular as there was a horde of people assembled at the Ishwar Deshmukh College Ground in Hanuman Nagar, the venue of the cultural fest. The actors regaled the audience when they arrived on stage and their popularity had to be seen to be believed as the crowd went berserk. The actors revealed quite a lot about their friendship, camaraderie and even revealed that they are planning to share screen space once again in 2019.
They were asked whether they plan to do a film together anytime soon during the event and Anil and Jackie said, “In 2019, we will definitely do a film together; a filmmaker has already approached us with a proposal. You will soon hear something positive on this front.” They also shared some anecdotes from their long friendship. Anil revealed some old secrets and said, “I have always been a huge fan of Jackie’s dressing style; I borrowed his trousers and wore them in Virasat and they have remained in my cupboard for the last 21 years. Since Virasat was a huge hit, I have treasured them as my lucky mascot.”

Not one to be outdone, Jackie revealed another secret and said, “During one of the shoots of a film, Anil actually hit me across the face and I nursed the hurt for days.” Anil who is the older of the two but has always played the younger brother in the films they starred in got emotional while speaking about Jackie and said, “I have so many friends, but Jackie is really special. Not many people know that I’m the Ram (from the film Ram Lakhan) in real life and Jackie is more like Lakhan.” The actor duo also danced at some of their hit numbers and ensured that the audience had a great time at the event.
